can I use FMLA for Rx effects at work?

my doctor has increased my prescription causing me to dose off or sit for awhile at work however management is intent on firing me, I can't tell them of my meds because that would also cause me to get fired, I am a federal worker in a warehouse setting.

Union can't help much other than give me a fmla form

Take the form and visit your Dr.

Tell the Dr about the side effects that you are experiencing.

Ask if they are prepared to certify you need the time off work for medical reasons.

If the Dr is prepared to certify you need the time off then you should be covered.

If the Dr is not, then you won't be covered.

Without knowing your medical condition or the medications you are taking it is impossible to judge more clearly.

If you are not performing your work fully and in a safe manner and you are unable or unwilling to provide your employer with an acceptable reason then they are within their rights to terminate you.

    You can not.

Well, maybe if you have a compassionate boss. My friend has brain cancer and got fired from 2 different jobs. Talk about caring bosses..
