what a woeful day in grey delight

ambling drowsily home in apathetic thought

of a dejected heart I slumber to end this night

yet a sound, a faint sound from the heavens brought

of little shoes, little toes dancing upon my windowsill

beseeching me to wander unknown under blind sense

but of what can this careless heart be fill

to cease such spite and indifference
