But was not tortured let alone being shot, and she was not even forced to revert to Islam..and was freed after a few days...that too because USA was about to start a war with Taliban and she was freed for her safety....

Well, as a white Muslim, I would say no. You must be unaware of the many, many Muslims who happen to be Caucasian in places like... THE CAUCASUS. Not to mention the Baltic states, Azerbaijan, etc etc. I know it sounds crazy, but radical Muslims are people too. They're not going to shoot anyone one sight, especially if he's a white guy in a thobe. Humans are naturally curious creatures. The first thing they're probably going to do is go "WTF?"

From what I've encountered from radical Islamists, they only care if you are Muslim or not really. They don't consider race in the matter. All that matters to them is that you're also a Muslim yourself.
