the engine pressure is stopping you from loosening the bolts ! take a 2 ton floor jack and a piece of 2x4 and jack up under the engine, but not the oil pan or you could dent it , and then take a breaker bar to loosen the bolts ! after the bolts get loosened you can use a ratchet on them !

Before removing the trans mount you first must release pressure off of the trans buy jacking up engine with a floor jack, but be sure not to jack engine up by the oil pan!!! Then remove bolts, which can be done using a breaker bar. They are hard to get loose, but only for your protection so the mount bolts don't come loose while driving...Good Luck

  • you can pull the bolts out as it sits but the weight has to be supported that the mount carries. a simple jack will do as long as you are picky on the location. advice, avoid the pan.
