Do you know what yuca is?
Im salvadorian and everytime I talk to a mexican person about yuca or say the word yuca
they just stare at me
not one single mexican person I have talked to knows what yuca is
do they not eat yuca in mexico
or is it just the ones who live here in the U.S that dont know what it is

Yuca is sold in the produce sections of most grocery stores here in SoCal - and it's not because those of us with an Italian heritage consume it:-) There's a Mexican restaurant in L.A, called "Yuca's". Yuca is part of the cuisine of tropical Mexico. You must be hanging out with desert people from Baja, Sonora and Chihuahua:-)

I know what yuca is and my parents are from mexico. Lol born and raise in los angeles ca.

Well I know what it is from watching a kid cartoon movie, I think it's Bugs Life. Yuka root. Before that, I had no clue what it was. I still am not even sure what it's purpose is or flavor is. Just know it causes gas!

More commonly known as the Cassava plant, it is sold in whole raw form, peeled and frozen form, grated and frozen, in flour and meal form also, t can be used 100's of ways from soups to desserts.
