@Narathzul: Not at all. You'd have to be a dedicated punk fan to know both names, I'd imagine. They were the lead singers of the Germs (Darby Crash) and Reagan Youth (Dave Insurgent). Both committed suicide by overdose while in their twenties.
Bizarre and tragic trivia: Dave Insurgent's girlfriend was a victim of serial killer Joel Rifkin.

Edit: Judging from the amount of answers not many other people know them either. Tragic about that serial killer. More trivia on them, the victims of serial killers make up a small minority of all victims of murder but they draw the most attention from the press.
