When was the last active Volcano in Canada? The next?
I know we have dormant/dead craters & active geology, ie hot springs, but when did last smoky blow-up happen? In aboriginal memory ?(I'm thinking of the great quake c. AD 1700 off Oregon etc)

Mt. Meager, British Columbia, ~2350 years ago, for a stratovolcano (think Mt. St. Helens) type eruption. Cinder cones have probably occurred more recently. Ruby Mountain is reported to have had a small scale eruption (consistent with a cinder cone) in 1898... but geological evidence for this is lacking.
