How exactly is a question deleted?

Has anyone ever received a reply from Y/A about an appeal regarding a deletion?

Thanks.

Yes I have. Granted it's been a few months since I've had a violation but when I've appealed then I got 99% reinstated

What you need to do is to understand "if" the report is correct or not (as this is something which causes a lot of grief due to misunderstanding if something actually violates Community Guidelines or not). If it has been removed incorrectly then appeal and state why it is NOT a violation (don't ask why it is as they won't answer the question).

If you don't get an reply to the appeal then you can follow us using the below link:

    http://io.help.yahoo.com/contact/index?locale=en_U...

    - choose "Answers" for the product

    - choose "Appeals" for the category

    - then choose the correct option depending on if it's a question or an answer

    - Fill in text in the "Briefly tell us how we can help" e.g "I want to appeal"

Then you get an "Email a Support Agent " box where you can submit the details with regard to not having received a reply to your outstanding appeals

Usually all it takes is 2 or 3 "trusted" members although sometimes more and in rare occasions only one to report a post and the bots remove it. The poster receives notification of violation which gives the details and the option to appeal by clicking the button in the notification, the poster looses 10 points but can appeal. The appeal is considered by a YA staff member who makes a decision as to whether or not the post was a violation If the appeal is successful the 10 points are returned and the post re posted. If that is the case the reporters lose some credibility and their reporting ""trust level " drops. If your appeal is unsuccessful you lose another 10 points so it's best not to appeal unless you are very sure you were unjustly reported.YA has posted many times that most reported violations are legitimate violations. If your appeal is unsuccessful you lose another 10 points so it's best not to appeal unless you are very sure you were unjustly reported..Oftentimes a post can seem innocuous but still be a violation. Check the link for the guidelines.

Yes, I have received answers from Yahoo however oftentimes it seems appeals get lost. Lately I have used the link below and received answers within a day. You might try it. Go below follow the prompts for product, category etc.

yes, several times .. if it is a legitimate question within the tos it will be reversed .. what happens is there is a 'pro-rated' system where people can build up 'trusted status' .. if one of those reports you it will usually instantly delete your stuff ... however if its reversed they lose some 'pull' ... thats how i understand it anyway ..
