  • Eh!What's that you say?

My elderly neighbours floored me today.Seems they decided to get hearing aids. The cost,a whopping nzd6000.00 .I couldn't believe my ears,i thought I mis-heard,[excuse the pun].With most stuff being made in China,Japan,or Taiwan, very cheaply, how come these ridiculous prices exist in NZ.Are the sellers having us on? I tried to put this in 'health'category, but it wouldn't take.

  • Hello,is there someone else out there?.?

Don't you think that when anyone posts a question, they should realize the question goes out to other countries?

Should they tailor their question to fit in with the general understanding, for example, the department stores in your country, may not be known in others. There are many instances of local issues,in the questions which are not fully understood by the wider audience.

  • It's worth a lot,but where's the money?

Antiques Roadshow. Some people front up with an item which is valued by the expert, and discover it's worth a great deal of money.

Most reply that it won't be sold, but stay in the family.

    What's the point I ask?

Sentimentality is all very well, but the item is valuless unless it is sold.

  • Do you consider yourself Lower,Middle or Upper Class?.?

So much significance is placed on a persons station in life today.

    Where do you fit in?.

Personally I believe some of the obscene word-writing trolls we see on this forum belong to a class of their own,way down the scale.

  • Begone foul rodent, who needs you?.?

Have you ever had rats in the home?,not the pet kind, but outsiders, the wild buggers.

Don't be tempted to allow pest control company to lay poison inside the home or business, and don't lay any poison your self.

The reason, the rats will eat it and die in their nest way up in your roof-insides, or walls, and their decomposing corpse will stink your home for months, even after you find the corpse and dispose of it.

Better to set traps, that way you get an immediate find, and disposal is quick.

Has anyone experienced a problem of this kind?.

  • Who will rid me of this troublesome music?

I am sick of the loud music played during TV or movies, when the actors are talking.Even when they're not speaking, the music can be so loud that I have to reach for the volume control. It makes me so angry, that I abandon the programme, and wish I could get my hands around the throat of whomever is responsible.Have you experienced this frustration?.

I can't understand how the programmes get passed for public viewing, surely they get watched by the makers and actors. So how come no-one realizes the dialogue is unhearable because of the bloody music?.

  • Citizens, you must tighten your belts.?

How can governments and local councils, spout verbal nonsense to their constituents, about the need to control our spending on credit cards, and to modify wage demands, when they, the leaders, borrow money to finance the running of the country. Then we learn that the debt is so huge, and each elections, the wannabe politicians blame the incumbents, but still they run the country into the ground.

No private business would survive for long,if the company was to follow government or council's business practices.

So why is this continuing, why this mania for borrowing?

  • Laughing all the way to the bank.?

We,the public, are making celebrities mega-rich.Do most of them really deserve it?

Watch the 'making',of a movie and see how each shot is only seconds long, and the special effects exaggerate the action. Is it the face that attracts us,or the voice,or is it because we have been brainwashed by the celebrity media,to believe that, not to adore the actor or singer,is one who is adrift from the mainstream?

Or is because,we secretly harbour the 'wannabe' factor?

  • Televisions'ER,do you love it or hate it?.?

I absolutely love 'ER'.but my mere male is compelled to leave the room whenever I watch this hospital based show.He actually gets angry at the make-up of the programme, saying there would be no such hospital with a bunch of doctors and nurses as pathetic as those portrayed on ER.

He reckons their personal problems take precedent over the patients, and they are scripted as sex mad.Too much crying, too personal an interest in patients, far too much dramatics. The whole sorry soap is as far removed from a real hospital,as the actors medical experience and degrees.

I would love read opinions from male and females.

  • Sorry,you're word deficient.?

I believe the forum should be monitored to delete any answers that do not contain a minimum number of words. Many questions, are answered in 1 or 2 words, and although some questions hardly deserve an answer at all,if one chooses to answer at all,it shoud be more than 1 or 2 words long.
