It is mostly good, however people always make out they are hard up?

Apart from 2007/08, the economy has been (US/Uk World wide general) very good, however when it was good, Governments should have been cutting the budget to decrease Tax, and this would have increased employment, but they didn't.

The major problem lies in the fact that people believe Politicians and believe they know about the Economy, they don't.

All Politicians get into power by promising the elctorate they will spend money, (and it is always your neighbours money not yours, although in reality it is more of yours than your neighbours).

    Hence the problem.

Good question lol. I am in the same boat. I hear the Roaring 20s were a damn good time to live in haha. Unfortunately, how our parents and their parents have elected terrible officials, we will never live to see a healthy economy in our life times. So get used to it.

Ever since money could be generated out of thin air via the fractional reserve process, the economy's always been, and always will be bad.

It depends on where you live, some areas have had economic prosperity, a lot of areas have been struggling since the 1980s though(when politicians deregulated the banks, allowed gamble-bankers free-rein).
