  • Why is fox news interested in justina pellitier?

Usually when fox news get their hooks into something they usually have some sort of agenda. DCF takes kids from parents all the time, why is this case so special?

  • Is it okay to ignore calls from work?

This is my first job, so idk the rules and norms. From time to time I will get a call from work asking me to come in that day (no prior notice) and by the time I hear the voice mail ( I think they only leave voice mails cause I never hear the phone ring) it is already past the time that they wanted me to come in anyway. I always come into work when I'm scheduled, I'm a good employee I never ask to make last minute changes. But should I really call back just to give them my excuse for not being able to come in, I mean I thought I had today off so I stayed up late the night before, slept in this morning, and bought tickets to see a show. So what should I say to them, oh yeah I don't want to come in today cause I would rather sleep and go see Jim Jefferies?

  • Do humming birds come back?

When I was a kid one of the things I wanted was a humming bird tower like off of Aladdin. I already have the garden for it.

I wouldn't keep them as pets I know they are migratory birds, but if I got a bunch of them from an exotic breeder raised them up as babies and then when they were grown let them loose would they come back to my backyard when they migrated to have their babies?

  • Does this mean I have trust issues?

I was in my car and someone in the car next to me was yelling at me saying that the car was on fire, the first thing I assumed without even looking, was that they were lying.

luckily they weren't talking about my car, they just happened to be looking in my direction and someone elses car was on fire.

Just freaks me out, I mean what if my car really was on fire.

  • Could we survive without protecting the environment?

I always hear stuff about being eco-friendly, Go Green, Protect wildlife, cause if you don't you'll destroy the world.

    So I wonder...

Is it possible for humanity to become self sustaining, and maybe destroying the ecosystem doesn't have to mean the end of the world? Is there a possibility for man made alternatives to things like the Ozone, and the natural air filter that is the rainforests. Do we really need to save the tigers and whales?

What if would it look like if we were the only living things on the planet, yet we were somehow thriving? How would we do it, what could it look like?

  • What is a better way to say this?

I'm doing a paper on laziness and I'm trying to make the point that when someone calls another person lazy, they are unknowingly describing themselves because they are too "lazy" to find out what the real problem is.

This is what I've got, and I don't like it but I have no idea how else to say it:

Lazy is a four letter word that says more about the accuser then the accused.

The "four letter word" part is important because earlier in the essay I compare the word lazy to other insults.

  • Can emancipated minors receive FAFSA?

A friend of mine who is 16 wants to go to college but is still looking for work. I offered her to rent at my place for 300$ a month which would be easily paid for by fafsa and she would have plenty of money left over to pay for classes and supplies. that is if she can get it in the first place.

  • Will internet surveillance affect your internet usage?

So by now everyone's heard of the NSA, and plenty of us have already been warned that if you post the wrong thing online it could affect your ability to get a job. New tech is coming out that analyzes a person's internet activity and applies that result to your credit score. Another new thing is a webcam tool that knows when your paying attention. Google came out and no surprise they admit that they can read your emails and they use your internet data to personalize advertisements. Who knows what's next but are you doing anything differently after hearing this, or even considering changing? Any advice for anyone who wants to have more privacy without disconnecting permanently?

  • Is South Park smarter then it looks?

A lot of people especially the older crowd give adult cartoons a bad rap. They call it stupid and Immature and refuse to watch it. The way south park is designed though appeals to a wide range of intellects it seems that those in the middle abhor the show the most.

The stupid viewer is amused by the graphic nature of it all, the gross ick factor, talking poop, pooping out the mouth, the anal consumption of gerbils and Paris Hilton. They enjoy the features that the middle demographic complains about, the median person may already be insecure in their intelligences and they refuse to watch the show because they are afraid that they might actually like it, or they are too smart to be amused by vulgarity and not smart enough to see the subtle nuances of the show.

Maybe I'm just a stupid person who is trying to defend why I like south park idk.

When I watch it with friends I find myself laughing alone from time to time, and then I get confused looks that practically ask me "What are you laughing at?". When I watch at home my mother begs me to change the channel, never even giving it a chance. I wish she would though, I mean I sit with her through her boring cop shows all five of them. How many times you can re-do the criminal investigator plot before it gets old.

  • Why are the american people so divided?

No wonder why nothing works in our favor, we can't agree on anything. Everyone lives in the same reality somewhere in this mess of left and right there has to be universal truths that everyone can agree on? For example If I showed you a pair of dice you would see two and I would see two there is nothing to fight about if some other guy said there were three then he is either lying or crazy he wouldn't be "entitled to his opinion" he would just be wrong.

Here's what I'm talking about I'll do two opposite ones so you don't think I'm being biased.

    consciousness begins at conception

    consciousness begins at birth

Neither of them are right, consciousness doesn't have such a start date it gradually develops sometime around 24-28 weeks and doesn't become fully developed until 21-25 years after the child's first birthday.

Big government is causing our economic problems

Corporations are causing our economic problems

In reality they're both right, the combination of these two entities and the way they work together is the cause of all major economic problems.

I just laugh when I turn on fox and hear: stupid liberal pinheads

and then on another channel I hear: Crazy fundamentalist republicans

    Drives me crazy.

  • Poll: Since the education standard has gone up should we raise the adult age?

Apparently we chose 18 as our magic number because that is when people graduate high school. Since a having a high school diploma doesn't mean anything in this economy and 36% of homeless people are under 25 shouldn't we give high school grads a few more years of childhood before their parents can legally kick them out?

In my opinion we should and while we are at it lets add a few years to high school so they can earn the basic college credits you get with a 2 year in liberal arts I knew kids who got some free credits in high school so its not impossible. Two birds( Having to pay for gen ed in college when you should of been taught that stuff in high school/making people smarter) one stone (extending high school and childhood).

  • Is generalizing always bad?

When I talk to people online, especially on more sensitive topics one thing I always hear gripe about is that you shouldn't generalize I get responses like "not everyone is like that" or "that's a sweeping generalization you're being ignorant" so what am I supposed to do every time I say something about a certain group i have to say "I know not all of them are like that, I am completely aware that there are exceptions"

i say democrats want more gun control and the PC Police fly in and cry generalization!

Newsflash not everyone who generalizes actually thinks that stereotypes are 100 percent true 100 percent of the time.

  • If a man got breast implants, is he allowed to walk around without a shirt?

What if a woman had a mastectomy could she be shirtless?

Should obese men with large breasts be forced to cover up?

Can a woman with a flat chest go jogging topless, what if she looked like a guy (short hair, androgynous features, boy shaped figure)?

Would she be able to get away with it undetected ?
