Is asking for/sharing 3DS friend codes illegal on Yahoo Answers?
I cannot imagine why it would be, but I recently made a post asking for friend codes, and it was eventually deleted. Furthermore, other people I followed asking for friend codes had their answers deleted too.
Is asking for friend codes not allowed on here, and if so, why?

I'ts not illegal (against the law)... It's a soliciting violation. A question must be seeking useful infomation or knowledge. You can't ask people to do things for you (get codes, coke rewards, vote on another site, etc.)

It's a violation of the community guidelines. Questions must seek knowledge or advice. Asking people to do things like take a survey (link to external site), sign a petition, become a follower on instagram, or vote in a beauty contest qualify as solicitation.
