What should I do about this situation?

So my BF and I have been together for a little over 5 years and now he have a 2 year old. We have been living on our own for almost 2 years now in an apartment. He lost his job about 6 weeks ago and I have not seen him giving an attempts to look for another one. Our lease is up by the end of the year and the rent will increase. He doesn't cook, clean, or do laundry. He would just make the bed and straighten up so, when I get home I have to do all of these things.

I even advised him to apply for the snap program since he isn't working and he has not done that either.

PS- He gets UE but its less than $100 a week.

You might sit down and talk to him. Voice your concerns. Suggest to him that he go to college, get student loans to live on while he does go to school so he can focus his time on his school work..

If he doesn't try and change it really leaves you with little choice but to move on.. Nobody wants to have to resort to that, but if he doesn't want to contribute in any way it leaves you with few options.

Advising people on matters like this is difficult because there really arent any popular solutions..

    Good luck :)

Talk to him. may be he is depressed or something. Men usually get upset when they get out of their job. First understand his problem (if he has any) and then bring yours out. Explain him that your problem and make him understand :)
