How can I block my ISP?
My service provider has crossed the line, temporarily disconnecting my service twice due to supposed copyright infringement. Call me old fashioned but I'm not particular to the idea of my files and information being accessible and God forbid I keep a consistent internet connection. Your time is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

From the sounds of your post, you are not doing the copyright infringement. Is this correct? If it is, then maybe someone is using your internet. If your internet is unsecured, secure it with WPA2 security with wps option disabled. If you are doing the copyright infringement, then use a VPN, or private torrent sites.

Why on earth would any ISP "disconnect" a paying customer? They don't own the copyrights; they can't be sued for your copyright infringement; they have no legal obligation to know (let alone control) whatever you're doing on your connection. It's like the phone company: they don't know why you're calling someone, nor do they care.

What are you using to download files? Depending on what you're doing there are many methods to encrypt communications. One thing you can do is use a VPN (virtual private network) which funnels all your traffic through an anonymous server to make it hard to snoop on what you are doing. Anyone that tries to see who is downloading something will only see the VPN providers servers, not you.

Over the last few years I've tried every free VPN and this is by far the easiest and the best.
Only problem is they place an advertisement at the bottom of every page you visit.
If you use Firefox install "NoScript" and the ads won't appear;
