Come on, just because the moron Republicans do that doesn't make it right. Besides, Dwight Eisenhower cam to our shul one day and wore a yarmulke. That didn't make him a Jew!
For that matter, a lot of Republicans object to feeding the hungry and healing the sick. Standing in front of a cross and waving a Bible doesn't seem to make you a Christian. The Southern Conservatives we all for America during the election, but the day after they were talking secession. Evidently wrapping yourself in Old Glory doesn't make you a patriot, either.
Why don't we leave the arrogant hypocrisy to them and lead by example?
