Marshall Mathers LP 2?

What's your thoughts? No fan boy comments please about how Eminem is the best, I've always been a fan of Eminem, and maybe all his new music does appeal to you but I am being honest with myself Em has changed and he is no were near what he used so there is no need. If I am honest I think this CD is a bit of an improvement over his newer stuff mostly after the Eminem show and 8 Mile CD etc.

I mean listen to this freestyle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwyOfqbP8JU especially freestyle towards the end. If I was given a choice I would probably choose this the majority of his new stuff

Then we have this closer to 2012

He sounds on form here as well to a certain extent I am sure I could find more

My conclusion is that he is either very over produced or he just is not in to the more quick paced offensive comical raps he used to do and is good at anymore i.e. getting old etc.

Though he is still one of my all time top rappers.

I just want to hear what others think.

Update:

Forgot link for under 2012 and I know the first link is quite old but all the same

I agree with you, he can't beat Stan and Lose Yourself and Sing For The Moment etc but he's still pretty good. I guess when you were a one time legend, people are always gonna compare u to ur old stuff and you're never gonna live up but he's still got something.

Eminem has really fell off in the past year. I think all the hype about him being the greatest has gone to his head and he feels he doesn't have to try anymore.Even his freestyles are lackluster nowadays. I however did enjoy songs like "Berzerk"

    He's alright you know.

I think he's lost what he once had, but he's still not bad.

I'll probably his album to add to my collection.

It seems his most recent songs were all freestyled and he didn't go back and perfect it.

He killed the freestyle food fight

His battle skills were paired against worthy opponents royce, yelawolf, crooked I, joe budden, etc. It was the sprite plug that fistracted me from when joe budden spit

It's a good album, musically and lyrically wise, just like all his albums really.
