    If we assume that the fairest rule is the best rule then yes, it is the best rule.

    i agree that sometimes even the majority can be wrong, but we need to remember that all people are equal, and each has the same right for his opinion to be heard.

    so the fairest rule is majority rule, therefor it is the best.

    Once you become the exception to a majority rule, and are treated differently because of a valid reason... you surely realize the majority vote isn't right for everyone. Or... if you are ignored when asking for that majority rule to be set aside and you really need the help (a chance), you see how the few are not really a big concern.

    The majority rule, many times, takes away the rights of the minority.

    Majority rule is decided by the wants or needs of the many, but not always best for all concerned.

    In a word... NOPE.

    And neither is minority rule... i.e.: dictatorship

    And neither is the current voting & political system or its candidates.

    Observation with a level of rational logic and reason that doesn't throw human emotion or human needs out the window while doing so is the best form of rule, as it's a process of applying intelligent thought & hopefully continually re-evaluating ones current perspective.

    You may want to try reading “The Ant and the Ferrari” by Kerry Spackman. The book attempts to provide a mathematically based tool of thought to questioning ones own system of beliefs.

    Not always...

    Social Proclivity is like shifting sands, always changing with the Wind...

    Just because the Majority Rules

    Does not mean the Majority are not Fools

    No.

    Majority rule is mob rule.

    Majority rule does nothing to indicate what is RIGHT, it just indicates what is POPULAR.

    And since Justin Bieber and twerking are currently popular, that shows you the core problem with deciding things by majority rule.

    It depends on who you ask. Frankly I am glad to live in a Country where the minority is protected from the majority.

    Is the majority rule the best rule...?

    ~~~ Not if you are the marginalized minority!
    You're asking a political Q and not a philosophical one. The majority in the US keeps voting in criminal Presidents and ignoring third parties.
