Why is it that it's easy to give advice but hard to take your own?

I've never really thought about it.

    Giving people advice is easy, because its the other person who has to do all the work if they want to accept it and change. Practicing what you preach is way more difficult because it requires time and energy on your part to change your life.

    Free advice is like that but what about advice on pre-paid consultation/ counselling etc? That is too sucking with vested interests!
