Why am I bleeding if not period?
Right now, I have a cold with a sever cough. Ever since the cough, I have been bleeding a little and is sorta smells like cat urine. The blood is mostly a light pink but can be a bright red. In the blood there are little bits of something that looks like blood clotting but stringier. (If that makes sense. It is kind of hard to explain). I still have a week and a half before it should be my period and I have not experienced a period like this. I also have ovarian cysts. One on each ovary that have continued to grow, and because of complications they cannot be removed until they have become life threatening. Last time they were checked they were the size of a baseball (that was about three weeks ago). So I was wondering if this blood could be from a cyst bursting. There is no pain. Not even period cramping. I cannot go see a doctor until tuesday, so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas to what this bleeding is?

The blood is not likely from a cyst itself, but ovarian cysts can cause abnormal bleeding. So that is certainly a possibility. The cysts can affect your hormones, which can affect the bleeding. Read here.
