Worried about brain tumor. I had double vision over a year ago but it has since gone away.?
I'm 21 year old male. About a year ago I had a few bouts with double vision. I haven't had any since. The doctor said it was related to high BP. Now I had DVT in both legs and a PE. I was worried about cancer so they are now going to do an MRI of my head. I'm worried they'll find a tumor. I also suffer from migraines. If the double vision were related to a tumor, wouldn't neurological symptoms be worse by now? I'm extremely nervous and worried. I hate medical issues and procedures. I'm just trying to find peace of mind until my MRI and results come back.

The double vision often occurs in patients having migraines with retinal symptoms. Your headaches are effecting the blood flow to the nerves and portion of the brain that control the eyes/eye movement/vision perception from the sounds of it. That's not terribly uncommon. See what the doctor says, but I'm betting that they won't find anything - and that in the meantime, you should relax.

Relax about the cancer and let the doctors try and help you manage your migraines. You have an actual medical condition which needs managed care. Don't worry about a phantom issue.

You should be more worried about a blood clot killing you or even a stroke. I've had brain cancer and a stroke. The brain cancer was easier..
