Why is belief in God any more logical or credible than belief in the tooth fairy or Santa Claus?

That is a false statement because belief is just a "strong imaginary hope" that what you have your belief in is actually real, because if it were really real then you would know it exists not just believe it does!!!

Many of us know the details about Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy. If those escaped your childhood and your adult life, my condolences.

If you have not met the Tooth Fairy or Santa Clause yet and fathomed the mysteries of those practices, being a keeper of those mysteries I will not tell you.

I also in my own small way am a keeper of the mysteries of Christianity, which I can not divulge until such time as you are ready to receive them.

You are not ready to have those mysteries revealed yet. Maybe when some time after you master they mysteries of Santa and the Tooth Fairy you will be. But not now!

Because of faith.

Believing is god, in my opinion and according to rationality, is irrational.

God has no credible sources that prove his existence.

Oh, the bible? You mean the 2000+ year old book that was edited

about 30 times and has stories that were written down 50 years

after they were told? Yeah... no.

Now, faith. Faith is a powerful thing. Faith can help you overcome almost anything.

And that is essentially what religion is. Faith. And hope. People that believe that

some higher power exists, that what they do every single day has some meaning,

that it will eventually lead them to a paradise shaped after their own dreams

is the only thing that gets them out of bed in the morning. Without their faith,

they're nothing.

I'm not saying faith is a bad thing. It keeps us alive. But an excessive amount of faith

can lead to horrible acts of the worst kind. More wars than you could imagine have been

started... because of faith. Christianity, mostly.

And if you truly believe in god, or Santa, or Flying Water Bottles, then more power to you.

But don't try to impose your belief onto me, and don't let your faith make you do things

you normally wouldn't. Stay true to yourself... or something.

If you look at evidence for the three, I don't think the fairy has much if any. Santa Claus is sometimes associated with the name St. Nicholas, who was a real person.

God can reveal Himself.

"Logic" can be different between individuals. You may need to ask each what they believe and why.

It isn't.

Because a belief in God stems from faith, not man made logic which is based on man's perception of how things are. There are unseen forces at work that we can often see the effects of, but cannot understand with only five senses and the dimensions we inhabit. There is no "Big Bang" without a Big Banger.

or science. for that matter. There are blaring contradictions in scientific laws, and many simply are not credible. There are huge and all pervasive logical errors in science, its practice and applications, but folks still believe in it. Look at the great wonders. That's proof enough? No it ain't.

Better to believe in Santa, he don't deliver a-bombs.

Has nothing to do with logical. That is like trying to tell me you are real and I am asking you to give me proof you are not a computer generated robot. I have to believe you are a human being on the other side of this computer. You need to prove the reason for your existence. Begin there and you will be ok. Know Jesus Know Peace No Jesus No Peace

Because you know there is no such thing as a tooth fairy or santa claus. There is proof and if you can't find it by yourself then you are either an idiot, In denial, or a liar.

Because of the evidence:

1. In all of human experience in no case has a functional entity or process composed of multiple interdependent components been observed to come into existence absent design and manufacture. (i.e. creation)

2. The only observable and reproducible instances of wave form energy being converted into sustainable matter it has been the product of a willful conscious action. (i.e. creation)

All the empirical evidence points to creation.. Creation requires a creator.

How logical or credible is it to deny that which is observable, testable and reproducible and insist that which has never been observed is not testable or reproducible as an alternate explanation to creation?

At the fall of man, mankind was separated from a Holy triune God and was sold into sin. Our eyes were blinded by Satan and we lost the ability to "sense" God. The reason you don't understand it because you haven't realized you are a sinner like the rest of us in need of a savior. Although we rebelled and were temporarily separated from God, he made a way for us to united back to him. Of course that's only for the people who wants to. But God required sinless blood to atone for sins, so he paid the sin debt to buy us back. The conditions are this: realize you're a sinner in need of a savior and believe on Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection. All who seek him (by prayer and his Word) WILL find him. Born agains have caught a glimpse of a majestic splendor. He is sooooo beautiful, precious. Don't be a dummey and end up in hell please.

God is real, The others are Fairy tales.
