God gave his creation the agency to decide for itself what it wanted to do. As such, those who turned against God, using their agency, created their own evil.

Added: "Evil" is a term that is often used to designate opposition. Opposition is necessary for growth in both physical and spiritual matters. In that regard, yes, God created opposition to give his creations an opportunity to overcome and thus, grow (in many ways -- spiritually, physically, emotionally, to name a few) to be better for the experience.

The answer to this question is more straightforward then you suspect. In order for God to KNOW Who God IS, God must know what God IS NOT. IF God is pure light and pure love, then in order for God to know God-Self, God had to create a "space" called "darkness." Only when God can look into this space, can God define God and KNOW what God IS BEING.

Evil, is just another word for that which you do not agree with. Evil is the opposite of goodness. Evil is, in highest sense, a judgement. All judgments are subjective, not objective. So that which is evil is not an objective analysis of what God IS or IS NOT, but darkness IS what God is NOT.

I know this sounds like I am banging words around but there is a logical and rational reasoning in exactly what I have told you.

Now, I will make it simple:

Yes, God created darkness in order for God to know God AS Light. And within that Light, God has discovered LOVE and come to know that God's essence is LOVE. Evil, is the absence of LOVE, that which God is NOT. Evil is merely, the subjective CONCLUSION of the analysis of God defining Who God IS NOT.

This all means, that in the context of your question, YES, God has created evil in order to know good...evil and good are merely the CONCLUSIONS of an analytical comparison in the Mind of God of what Light and Darkness is. God could not know the SELF without having made this comparison. You would not exist nor would I nor would this universe if this were not so. Within EACH of us,are elements of this analysis, Light and Dark. Man exhibits the characteristics of God because God made us with God Character...we are a reflection of the Creator.

God created every natural physical thing (ex: humans, planets, animals, trees). What he did create, however, is free will. It was our choice as humans to create evil, starting with Adam and Eve who went against God and ate fruit from the forbidden tree. God created free will, humans decided to abuse that free will for evil. :)

Reality Check: God was created in the minds of ignorant man. Now there is a whole religion about it. Amazing what large groups of stupid people can do.

Don't you know.. Evil is the absent of God.

So there is something that even God didn't create, it's beyond him.

Yes. But I think He didn't intend to create evil. He gave free will to something and that something turned evil by free will i quess.

Evil is not a "something." Evil is the void of good.

The people above me are wrong. The word "evil" in Hebrew has one word but many different contexts. In the context of Isaiah 45, it means physical evil, not spiritual evil. it means like natural cataclysms and such, but not spiritual evil, such as lies, sins etc.

The first sin was Lucifer's pride. God created Lucifer as chief angel(messenger). Lucifer recognized his beauty & became proud enough to want equality with God, so he revolted against God and convinced a third of the holy angels to revolt with him.

From that revolution comes every other evil in history. The bible says that Lucifer was cast out of heaven and "into the cosmos" along with a third of the holy angels. Lucifer was called Satan(Adversary) and the fallen angels became demons(guides).

When Lucifer campaigned among the angels, he promised them that if they joined his revolution against God, they would occupy positions of worship on the earth. All the pagan gods represent demons, and just like Lucifer said, they have been worshiped as gods by man throughout history. All pagan deities can be traced back to a single pantheon of demons in ancient Babylon.

In Genesis 3, the serpent(Hebrew: "the shiny one") convinced man that his EYE(ego; intellect) would be opened and he would evolve into godhood by science, if they ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

The satanic elite of this world have lived by that promise throughout history. Everything from war & every other mass-scale evil is organized & carried out ritually. In modern times, the Order of Illuminati play by the Hegelian Dialect, which basically means that they control both sides of the system. The Hegelian dialect is when you clash together a thesis & an antithesis to make a synthesis. It's the Knowledge of Good and Evil from Genesis 3.

Long story short, God did not directly cause evil. He did, however create Lucifer with the potential to commit the first sin. And God did have the foreknowledge of what was to happen. But ultimately, god did not cause evil. God decreed the occurrence of evil. Paul says that the powers that be are ordained by God. Even Satan is God's puppet, but Satan is responsible for the evils that God himself can not create, as God's nature is fixed eternally as good.

    Yes, it's in the Bible:

    Isaiah 45:7

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

God did never create evil. This is a concept that was created by man by their want to have things their own way and not Gods way. Mans inhumanity to man at its best.
