will this rock be a problem in animal crossing new leaf?
So i just put my tent up and there's a rock one space away on the side but if i expand my house what will happen?

It won't let you place the tent in an area that would obstruct further home expansion. They've already taken that into account.
Your house's external 'look' won't change size much either. You'll get little bits on the sides for the extra rooms, and it will be taller once there's an extra floor, but the general size, the amount of space it takes up, won't really change.

Once you expand your house, the rock will most probably dissapear. When you come to do public work projects, the same thing will happen. Anything that would be in the way will just be removed. If the game has allowed you to place your tent there, then don't worry, the rock won't stop you from expanding.
