This section about creation being subjected to frustration then being liberated into the glorious freedom of the children of God is intriguing.

It says very little, whilst speaking volumes! It harkens back to Genesis, when sin entered into God's good creation, spoiling everything. It points to the future, when the tree of life in the paradise of God will be available and everything restored.

Clearly, it says the present 'groaning' (i.e. miserable) state of creation will not continue forever! God will turn it around and there will be a new Heavens and a new Earth, in which righteousness will dwell (2 Peter 3:11-15). AiH

I'm not too sure I would trust promises reported by the Bible, much less trust promises which are merely hinted at.

After all, the Bible reports that Jesus promised that He is right there WITH even a few, gathered in his name.

And again, the Bible reports that Jesus promised that whatever a few Faithful asked of the Father, in the nmae of JEsus, would be given.

And yet, here is a video, quoting thepromises, in context, and claiming that Jesus no longer exists in a manner in which He can KEEP those promises.

Feel free to post a link to any video showing that anybody got results other than the ones predicted by this video.

    Nothing really.

This was written by Paul a long time ago to push some religious beliefs. I don't think there was a point in history where there wasn't some prophet or politician moaning about how bad things are going and how they have the one simple solution for it all. It's nothing new. Even today, you have pundits wailing doom and gloom over every event in the news which can apparently only be thwarted by voting for their own candidate.

If there is any promise in this, it is only the promise of future pundits claiming that the "whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain" and only by following them will they "be delivered from the bondage of corruption". Meh.

    Religion is fear-based superstition.

well if you read the whole chapter 8, this is paul speaking ot the congregation in rome, hes specifically as i understand , in these verses, talking to the few chosen annointed ones at the time [ vs 10,11,14,15,16, and vs18 meaning the chosen ones, children of God, heirs with Christ] ,

in reference the the rest of mankind [we the great crowd] [creation itself] vs 20, who will be free from being slaves to the corruption of the earth.

when they[the creation] see [understand, know, are aware by signs, not literally see] that all the annointed ones who have the heavenly calling are thus called and ruling with Christ in heaven. [raised up from the dead,[ vs23,those who have died centuries ago will rise first from the grave then the others who dies more recent, or are still alive called, or otherwise 'taken' with christ if still alive at the time, when he comes to take them 1st corinth 15 vs 50-54 [not all will fall asleep in death] ]

when 'we' creation who have faith and works in God, see this come to pass, this is when vs 21 applies. the creation itself will also be set free.

thats our hope, when we know Jesus has come to take rule along with him the chosen ones, annointed [144,000 bought from mankind], to be judges and priests,

we know that we now will soon have satan abyssed for 1000 years and his system brought to ruin

thus the peaceful reign of Jesus begins.

the question is, will we be or are we now, his subjects, or satans?
