Please can you help me with my Christmas dilemma?

The situation: I just lost my job and as part of my job my home too. I work for a funeral director and live above the shop that I manage as I am the resident receptionist. I have been dating a guy since August and he totally understands that my savings will have to go towards a deposit on a new home and I am job hunting with a passion. I can't really afford to buy him a Christmas gift that I had planned but want to put together a "Christmas stocking" of little things so that I don't look like a Scrooge but also don't have to spend a chunk of my savings that I need for a deposit on a new home. I know he is still planning to buy me a gift, and I don't want to appear thoughtless/heartless not to give him a little something, please can you help me with suggestions of things to put in this "stocking"? Thank you!! Any ideas and inspiration would be amazing...

    Hi

First of all I am sorry that you have lost your job and also sorry for what you are going through right now, don't worry even if things seem like the worst at the moment, they will get better. You don't have to buy him loads, make something instead. Why don't you make a booklet of tickets, the tickets have different things such as: Ticket 1 or coupon 1: I will make you a cup of tea, Ticket 2: I will run you a bath, Ticket 3: We can have a movie night of movies of your choice. Different things like that. That doesn't cost anything, but it is really nice and fun.

    Hi,

Firstly I am proud to know that you haven't given up - you are keeping at it, refusing to give in to negativity - staying strong :) for that I admire you.

If you ever feel like giving up - this is what I use to keep me going - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJcZBoxiFOY

and now for your question - A personal card from you, a picture of your happiest moments together, maybe a CD or itunes voucher for music he really likes, if he has a hobby like golf for example - you could put some golf balls in there too.

you could plant a mistletoe as well ;)

    Hope this helps
