Why is that people would believe Electronic Magnetic Level is related to paranormal activity?

Because Paranormal phenomena is simply MORE than something you SEE. It likely has something to do with unrecognized effects of modern Physics---a real event, although unexplainable in terms of Modern Science YET.

What we CALL "a ghost" is a real phenomena consisting of a Moving Electromagnetic field and moving temperature anomalies. This is detectable and measurable. SOMETIMES we can see it IF the weather conditions are right.---As a water vapor cloud or a Corona discharge, or as a mass of smoke and dust held together by an electrostatic charge.

Like Lightning 300 years ago, the ancients and farm folks, attributed this phenomena we CALL "ghosts" to the "Spirits of the dead"---Lots of people TODAY cannot ACCEPT the reality of this "ghost" phenomena because they do not like the "Folk explanation" for it.---so most reject or dismiss it---but a few of us Scientists DO study it to find out what it really is.

Well, we know that it is possible to cause people to experience hallucinations and even think they're in the presence of "God" by applying electromagnetic stimulation to the brain.

There was a cult leader that actually built a "God Helmet" that worked on this research and was to be used to convince his followers that he was able to access "heaven", etc.

"Ghost Hunters", i.e. "Delusional Con-Men", have this "Theory" that ghosts can somehow generate or manipulate energy.

There was an episode of Ghost Hunters I remember where the guys went into the basement of this 'Haunted House' and discovered that the house's electrical system was DANGEROUS and they determined that all the experiences of the home owners were directly related to the very old, very dangerous electrical system in their house and that if they didn't get it fixed, their house would eventually start on fire and "Ghosts" would be the least of their problems.

It was what kept me watching for so long because they were so HONEST about alternative reasons for these people's experiences and not just feeding in with their fear for a tv show.

It's very simple, other than anecdotal tales, there is no evidence for any paranormal activity. What they do is pull something out of thin air, put a "sciency" sounding edge on it and presto, more evidence. It does work, there's a billion dollar industry to prove it.

The ghost hunting TV shows are excellent examples of selling straws to grasping paranormal fans.

It is believe that ghosts can be comprised of electromagnetic energy and can interfere with different fields as well as be detected by some detection devices.It is also believed that some beings can be seen with infrared cameras and be detected by thermal detectors as well. One prevailing theory on the aspect of the existence of ghosts and spirits is that as we are made up of energy, energy cannot be created or destroyed , it just changes for. That as we are living we are comprised of energy and as we transition into another existence we continue to retain this energy and to some degree it is detectable. Take care.
