Speeding ticket from red light camera? (California)?

Hello everyone,

Yesterday when I was going home, I crossed this intersection in Vista, California. Now. I didn't run the red light. It was green. I saw the flash came out on my right. In mean time, there was another car trying to make a right turn to get to the street I'm going. (I was on street A, the guy was on street B and tried to make a right turn to get on street A). He crossed the walking pathway all the way and he didn't even stopped before that. He did stopped to let me pass though. In mean time, I was going 40 mph on a 35 mph street.

The thing is, I wasn't sure which flash came of. On the intersection, there are 4 cameras every directions. So I am not sure if the camera caught the guy trying to turn right on red, or it caught me speeding 5 miles exceed the limit? There was also a camera in front of me but it did not flash.

I said I saw the camera flashed on my right, but I'm not sure where the flash came from, it can be on my right, or my back.

So, Can you get a speeding ticket from those cameras? I looked up on photoenforce.com and the site indicates that it was a red light camera, not a speeding camera.

No, you won't get a speeding ticket. The flash occured when the other driver crossed the stop line and entered the cross walk while his light was red.

The ONLY state traffic law which is enforced by cameras in California is red lights. If you did not run a red light, you have nothing to worry about.
