You are assuming mother nature is imbued with a state of consciousness. Rest assured, nature is as mindless as are the missiles that bring down indiscriminate carnage.

No. There is no such thing as 'mother nature' other than the natural processes which may be affected naturally by man's influences, for example increased CO2.

No. If mother nature wanted to punish us, she would do so in the blink of an eye as fast as treading on ants. This is just some bad weather.

No of course not. Every time some awful natural disaster happens you cannot believe it is because people deserve it!

Thinking of those in the USA affected by these storms and hoping they get through safe in one piece.
