Just at a curiosity. If you have a routine workout before you get pregnant will younot be as big if you never worked out in the first place?

During a pregnancy, you will gain weight regardless. You are meant to gain weight due to the simple fact you are carrying another living organism in you. Though there are acceptable ranges to weight gains during pregnancy. If you are considered normal weight category for your BMI, it is expected of you to gain around 25-35lbs during this course. These are normal ranges of weight gain for pregnancy. If you workout prior to pregnancy, you can and should continue to workout during pregnancy up until a certain point.

A common misconception with pregnancy is the mom is allowed to eat anything since she is feeding for two. Surprisingly, your caloric intake does not increase until the 2nd trimester. An additional 340 calories is recommended, while an additional 450 calories for the 3rd trimester due to the body preparing for breastfeeding. That and baby's additional needs for growth and development.

Point in case, if you workout during your pregnancy, you will look more fit during your course of pregnancy as compared to someone who doesn't work out.
