Knowing that the Vatican Pay-Out to American Victims of Child-Rape is near $3BILLION, do you question tithing?

Long? Yes… But being clear and providing sources and accurate information takes up space… I wanted to make sure no one could say "You don't know what you're talking about!"

In the cases of Child-Rape, Violence Against Children, Catholic Child Trafficking, Slavery, Kidnapping, Illegal Adoptions, etc. in the US ALONE, which is only 1/10000th the total number of cases documented world wide, the Vatican has shelled out nearly THREE BILLION DOLLARS in restitution for knowingly enabling sexual predators to continue to rape children around the world.

This has caused great hardships in Catholic Churches, who are saying they must have fundraisers to raise money to keep the doors open and the power on.

Knowing that these Tax-Exempt Organizations are already screwing the American Tax System out of approximately $71,000,000,000 PER YEAR ($71 billion) combined with the nearly THREE BILLION DOLLARS that have been paid to their victims, do Christians hesitate to tithe knowing that the money they provide to the church will go to help continue the cover-up of the Child Rape/Abuse Pandemic?

What about the fact that it's been said that it is literally impossible to determine the vast wealth of the Vatican alone due to their refusal to release records regarding investments, tithes, and holdings?

Which means that the money that the Catholic Churches are claiming they "Don't Have" and are going bankrupt to avoid paying the judged amounts are liars since they are a part of the Global Network of Catholics that are governed from the Vatican, which has wealth enough to make whole countries GDP pale in comparison.

So… How can anyone possibly justify tithing to the Church, knowing about the lies, abuse, hidden assets, etc.?

    Thank-you for your concern...

Three very significant lessons can be drawn from the sex abuse scandal within the Catholic Church.

    * The first is often considered but seldom mentioned due to fear: The secular attack on the Church is profoundly hypocritical.

    * The second lesson has come to light again relatively recently, though it is a truism in the Church: The manner in which most local bishops handle internal problems is determined by the example set in Rome.

    * The third has not been mentioned often enough, though I believe it is finally starting to sink in: A renewal of ecclesiastical discipline is essential across the board

Oh I agree even on a small scale, My chruch is super high tech, has touch screen TVs to check in kids for sunday school. Ipads on the walls to sign up for groups. All leaders have Ipads to record the sermon, they have there own cell phones and plans. The pastors home is paid for by the church along with all renovations

with that being said where is this money coming from a non profit organzation

    >>continue the cover-up of the Child Rape/Abuse Pandemic<<

It sounds like you know something. Have you told law enforcement, or are you part of the alleged cover-up?

As an ex-Catholic, I do not recall Tithing being practiced. Offerings are given and people who are rich, leave their estates and money or house and land to the church, but Tithing is recognized in Pentecostal and Born Again Believers Circles.

Since the congregation effectively paid the salary and living expenses of the priests who committed such atrocious crimes, it's right that they also pay restitution.

No, not for a second...even if the Church ever had asked me to tithe.

Done with your infantile little rant?

    Didn't think so.

Did you honestly expect to get a answer for this, or are you trying to prove something? Honestly, I don't know and I don't care.
