Explain the process that moves carbon from the atmosphere. To what form does this process change carbon?

    There are several processes.

    1. Dissolving in the ocean. Carbon dioxide <-> carbonic acid <-> H+ + bicarbonate ion

    2. Photosynthesis. Carbohydrates.

    3. Biomineralization. Calcium carbonates. Over a long period of time and proper conditions, these calcium carbonates can become limestone.
