So how do girls "wear" tampons?
Shouldn't it be "use" a tampon? More like how you use a tissue for a runny nose. Its a consumable, it is used, and then thrown away... I assume.

Probably because you keep it in you for a period. And not just for a quick wipe. Same as with a sanitary pad; you keep it attached so you "wear" it.
