Toyota Japanese import car needs English sat nav system?

Hello,

I have a Japanese toyota import car which currently has a Japanese sat nav system which I want to change to UK or english etc.

I read in a forum this is not possible.

Can anyone advise please?

I have the japanese disk:

Toyota 08664-00F24 (A21)

Voice naviagation system

    Hello

    And there is your problem, An import with foreign language Sat Nav without U.K Maps. As ar as I am aware they use different wire colours than we do. Not sure if you tried Ebay for English version but you would proably have to change the whole system.

    Why not just buy a portable one, it would be cheaper than trying to modify the Jap. one.
