USPS package scanned over and over in the same facility?

Item was shipped on Nov 15.. then on Nov 18 it says item was forwarded (because a wrong zip code ). So, after this day the item has been scanned like 7 times in the same facility (3 scanned logs has been ovewrited by USPS). I think the zip code I putted was wrong. I putted 40224 but the real zip code is 40204. The thing is that the wrong zipcode is also from Lousville. What can I DO?

You can't really do much. Apparently the wrong zip code has been detected, but when it rejects from the sort process, it is being put back in. Might be that they have not eliminated all the bar codes. At some point, an employee will either realize the correct zip code for that street or it will begin it's journey back to you. There are thousands of parcels in a sort facility at any one time, so looking for one package, if you were to contact them, is near an impossible task,

I would give them a call, especially since it's shown the same status for so many days. I've had issues with packages arriving at my house in the past, and I looked up the customer service number on the website and called them up. They basically launch an "investigation" into what's happening with the package. Be sure you have the tracking number in front of you when you call, because that's how they can track it within their facility. The people I spoke to were always super nice and helpful, and my package moved on by the next day!

Hope it works out for you!
