The ipad air is the same thing just lighter. You won't be able to feel the speed unless you actually run tests. Its like buying a 24 megapixel than a 18. 24 is obviously better just like the air, but in normal peoples eyes the 18 looks just the same unless you have special lenses. You should keep your ipad 4 unless it is broken.
