Afraid to smoke weed like I used to?

When I started smoking, I never had a problem with it. I wouldn't say I loved it, but it helped me relax and get my mind of things, which was nice after a long day.

I smoked virtually everyday with my friends one summer and really enjoyed it. I went back to school and smoked less, but when I did I still enjoyed it the same. Once the next summer came around, I was stressing out over a lot of responsibility that started coming into my life.

I was not in a great state of mind, so I figured smoking would probably help. It ended up making me over-analyze everything and overwhelmed me. I hated it, and every time I would smoke after I would be afraid of that happening again. I ended up figuring things out and I'm not stressed anymore, but after quitting for a drug test and starting back up (2 months), I still feel the same way and hate getting high.

I miss being able to enjoy smoking like I used to. I've thought about slowly increasing my tolerance and just getting used to the feeling again, but I'm really not sure what to do.

thats not a problem, its a blessing. Weed is illegal for a reason: it damages your brain!! You could be jailed for even having it and whoever gave/sold it to you could go to prison for dealing.

Smoking damages your body, too. You can get cancer of the lungs, throat, tongue, lips, gums, jaw, cheeks, nose...even fingers. Not to mention the horrible stink that clings to your clothing, hair, furniture, car. Smokers also end up with yellow teeth, yellow fingers and a very wrinkled up face. EWWW!!

Even if your brain wasnt damaged, it is a very complicated and delicate thing. It can get messed up and be unable to produce any or enough serotonin. This is called a chemical imbalance which is easily treated, very common and nothing to be ashamed of.

It can cause depression, anxiety, panic, obsession, self harm/self hatred, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, sleeping problems, aggression/rage, anger, phobias, fears, helplessness, hopelessness, hypochondria, ADHD, paranoia, OCD, headaches, lack of interest in things, lack of motivation/ focus and much more.

According to those who went to therapists, it doesnt help much. They are not even allowed to prescribe appropriate meds to help you get better.

Tell a dr. about all this and ask him for anti-depressants. Zoloft/Sertraline is a good one; most people thrive on it and it has no side effects. It enables the brain to function property. With antidepressants, you will be much better, happier, calmer, confident, relaxed and feel normal. What a difference it makes!!

Continue taking meds even when you feel better. You need them, so stay on them. And good luck to you!

It has served it's purpose for you...let it go. But if you really want to, organic, no chemicals used in the growing, has less side effects. Also when you were younger, you were probably more carefree, so the mind plays a role in the effects of weed. Good luck with that.

I'd recommend going to your supervisor at 7-11 or Walmart and asking for less hours at work. This will give you more time to focus on the important stuff in life such as smoking weed and relaxing.

If you don't enjoy it anymore don't bother with it, I smoked it for years then stopped cos I thought I was addicted , I don't miss it , why not try leaving it out for a while , besides you won't have the bother of scoring and having to pay for it , good luck

Weed can make you paranoid. It can't be used as an escape because it makes your mind run through everything going on and can make those things you are trying to escape seem much worse. Just stay clear of it, live in reality it's much better I promise.

If you want a dispassionate advice for your health, try to quit as soon as possible.

Many of my acquaintances are able to quit following this method ... maybe give us a glance if it is right for you.

    God luck.
