depends how sophisticated that mirror is and if any components
in it, if any. simple mirror?...towards or at 150.+ when they started
making the molded housing type mirrors, they've gone up a lot. has
controls in it of some sort?...price goes up. drive into a dealer and
they'll nail the cost/no guessing

There might not be any in the salvage yard this week, but what a POS the Sonic is!
If Rockauto.com has the part, it might run you under $50 and take 20 minutes to install
Usually it's a nutdriver job unless it's a power mirror, then add 15 minutes to plug in the new part. Do you plan to pay somebody to do the work or do it yourself. If you can open a mayonnaise jar you can probably replace the mirror. The South Koreans that built the Sonic did not complicate something that basic.

I needed a new driver's side mirror and my wife bought me a matched set (driver's and passenger's) through Amazon. They were for my car but better looking. I replaced them myself. Total cost was less than $150. The dealer will really stick it to you so if you are handy and have a few basic tools you can do it yourself and save a ton. I suggest looking on Youtube for videos on changing the mirror yourself. One last idea. The cheapest fix is to replace the mirror if it is broken but the housing is OK. Most auto parts stores have generic mirrors you can install without tools. (they use an adhesive foam tape)
Hope that helped.
