Who gets to decide what is moral?
If you say you do, then there is no agreement on what is moral and others will have different levels of morality. So who gets to decide? If you say government, you set yourself up to whoever holds power, and that could take the form of many terrible outcomes. Even some who claimed the mantle of Christianity endorsed evils like slavery and oppression of women in their governments. I'm sure the reasoned and intelligent atheists have a solution. You can't say everyone who is reasonable knows what is moral, because many believe abortions to be moral. Many don't. Answering the question would help.

Morality is in the eye of the beholder. Most of the time, it is a person's upbringing which determines how he sees morality. Children are taught right from wrong from their parents' point of view. There are some things which are wrong no matter who looks at them...murder, for instance...and others where it depends on the person. Most women think rape is wrong; some men think it's okay if the woman dresses sexily or flirts with them. It's all in the interpretation. Among some religious groups, even murder is acceptable if the end justifies the means. Even criminals have their own code of ethics. A person could (and probably has) write a book about morality.

who does indeed. On one hand , can we say we are teaching or implementing our morals?? some would call that indoctrination, I figure who is one to judge and say what the moral compass is. Now common sense tells us the decent and proper morals we all should obtain naturally!
