  • Why are there no news stories on how Ellen DeGeneres failed as a spokesperson for JC Penney?

For one of the most hostile people towards religious views as there has been, you would think someone would want to follow up on the story.

The absence of such makes a glaring example of who is promoting religiphobic agendas.

Clearly, if JC Penney had made money, she would have been touted as the sole reason. Someone with her news grabbing face time should have easily turned things around. JC Penney found out just how polarizing she is.

Plenty of stories promoting her back in 2012, though. People seem to just forget important things as this.

  • R/S, What do you think about this theory?

God is omnipotent. Therefore, He can create anything and have reasons for it that you can't understand. But let's try a theory. God can create a scenario that He knows the outcome, but not necessarily all the events that get us to said outcome. He has the power to block His knowledge of the beforehand knowing our decisions. This would make a more interesting creation, don't you think? How would you like to know every word and scene of every movie before you saw it. Not much of an experience to be had.

Same reason to not just make perfect beings that obey Him. Just a bunch of robots that do what you program. BBOORRIINNGG!!! It's like playing chess with a computer and you know the programming for the moves it chooses. Waste of time, isn't it? So He creates things that are not predictable. Seems understandable now, doesn't it?

Now He can also increase the difficulty by letting these beings create their own language, thereby needing to inspire those who speak it to write what God wants us to know about Him. Quite a challenge there. Now He doesn't want to send everyone to hell, that is just for those who don't and won't believe in Him. Just as some of the angels were disloyal, He uses this life to weed out the disloyal ones. Why keep the bad element? In a garden you pull the weeds out and let them die to keep the productive plants. It's not like you don't have a choice to believe and have faith in Him. So choose carefully. Have faith and live. No harmful side effects.

  • R/S, Hypothetically, what would be running through your head if God were real...?

and you had to bow down and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord? Would you be like "Finally I know and now I am ready to honor God" or more like "This sucks, who put Him in charge?"

  • How to answer this r/s post?

"Please show me the gospel passages where Jesus speaks against abortion and gays. Not some passage taken wildly out of context, a passage where he makes a definitive statement about the above issues."

    On abortions:

Luke 18:15 People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

-Does not sound like He approved of hurting a baby, much less killing it. He also upheld the law of the Old Testament(as we call it today). Deuteronomy 30:19 This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live-- Now I call that clear.

    On gay lifestyle:

Mark 10:5 “It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law,” Jesus replied. 6 “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’[a] 7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,[b] 8 and the two will become one flesh.’[c] So they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

-The two will become one is from Genesis when woman was created out of part of the man. Therefore man and woman become one, not man and man or woman and woman. Pretty clear here again. Let no one separate what God has joined together. Men are meant to be joined to women.

Jesus loves you and wants you to follow Him so you may live. Forever.

  • What are your favorite Bible verses?

    Some of mine:

Galatians 6:17 From now on, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.

Genesis 50:20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

1 Corinthians 1:25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

  • Spiritually speaking, who gets to decide what is moral?

If you say you do, then there is no agreement on what is moral and others will have different levels of morality. So who gets to decide? If you say government, you set yourself up to whoever holds power, and that could take the form of many terrible outcomes. Even some who claimed the mantle of Christianity endorsed evils like slavery and oppression of women in their governments. I'm sure the reasoned and intelligent atheists have a solution. You can't say everyone who is reasonable knows what is moral, because many believe abortions to be moral. Many don't. Answering the question would help.

  • Do you think these "knockout" hoodlums are more Christian or atheist?

They don't seem to think there are consequences to their actions. Or they don't care. One thing is sure, they don't have love in their hearts.

  • How do you know there is no God?

Some proof. Let the snarky comments commence.

    1. Earth. The perfect size and distance from the sun to maintain temperatures and the right mix of gases to sustain life of all kinds. And the moon is the perfect distance and size to cause tides and ocean movement so the ocean waters do not stagnate, and yet do not move so much as to spill over the continents.

    2. Water. Colorless, odorless, without taste, yet no living thing can live without it. The water cycle alone is amazing and not accidental.

    3. The human brain. It controls so many things and handles so much information and gives you the ability to reason.

    4. A universe like ours does not come from nothing.

    5. The eye. No evolution could explain the complexity and ability the eye gives us.

    6. The Bible. No other book is as widely known, sold or read as often as the Bible. The irrefutability of this book points to its divinity.

    7. The eyewitness accounts of the apostles and their unbelievable willingness to be tortured and killed for the name of Jesus.

    8. The operation of the universe by a uniform set of laws. The consistency of the laws of gravity, speed of light, rotation of the Earth, electricity, heat and relativity. Richard Feynman, a Nobel Prize winner for quantum electrodynamics said, “Why nature is mathematical is a mystery…The fact that there are rules at all is a kind of miracle.”

    9. The DNA code. The complexity and volume of information stored there is off the chart.

    10. You. You are here to ask questions about God. He calls to us, we desire Him. All of our spirit of who we are cannot be measured or quantified. How do you get a sense of humor? Why do you do things the way you do them and why is someone else different?

Is this good enough proof for you? If not why?

God loves you, talk to Him.

  • How do atheists do it?

They go about denigrating Christians and Christian values, and then say all the great things about themselves and how they live their lives, not knowing all their good values come from and were taught by Christianity.

Thank you for all you do for the advancement of Christianity!

Your leap of faith may not be that far away.

God loves you, always has, always will

  • Why do atheists quote or agree with this?

“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?

    Then he is not omnipotent.

Is he able, but not willing?

    Then he is malevolent.

Is he both able and willing?

    Then whence cometh evil?

Is he neither able nor willing?

    Then why call him God?”

Epicurus – Greek philosopher, BC 341-270

How can one's mind only go that far? Why does he try to limit God's intelligence to the size of man's? Could he not imagine a purpose for the experience of going through this life?

If everything was perfect and easy, what would you be like?

No challenges to learn from, so you could remain in the same level of ignorance forever. Is that what you want? To continue with this lack of understanding?

Now that theory of what a god would do for us is small minded and is without merit.

  • Should Christians be allowed to get their beliefs passed into law as everyone else can?

One person's beliefs should be just as legitimate for basis of laws as another persons, right? Everyone draws a line of what's allowable so why hate on the Christians just because you don't agree?

  • Why did God change his mind about creating man?

In Genesis, leading up to the Flood, He regrets that He made man. Didn't He already know all this was going to happen before it did? How do you regret something you purposed ahead of time?
