How do you know there is no God?

Some proof. Let the snarky comments commence.

1. Earth. The perfect size and distance from the sun to maintain temperatures and the right mix of gases to sustain life of all kinds. And the moon is the perfect distance and size to cause tides and ocean movement so the ocean waters do not stagnate, and yet do not move so much as to spill over the continents.

2. Water. Colorless, odorless, without taste, yet no living thing can live without it. The water cycle alone is amazing and not accidental.

3. The human brain. It controls so many things and handles so much information and gives you the ability to reason.

4. A universe like ours does not come from nothing.

5. The eye. No evolution could explain the complexity and ability the eye gives us.

6. The Bible. No other book is as widely known, sold or read as often as the Bible. The irrefutability of this book points to its divinity.

7. The eyewitness accounts of the apostles and their unbelievable willingness to be tortured and killed for the name of Jesus.

8. The operation of the universe by a uniform set of laws. The consistency of the laws of gravity, speed of light, rotation of the Earth, electricity, heat and relativity. Richard Feynman, a Nobel Prize winner for quantum electrodynamics said, “Why nature is mathematical is a mystery…The fact that there are rules at all is a kind of miracle.”

9. The DNA code. The complexity and volume of information stored there is off the chart.

10. You. You are here to ask questions about God. He calls to us, we desire Him. All of our spirit of who we are cannot be measured or quantified. How do you get a sense of humor? Why do you do things the way you do them and why is someone else different?

Is this good enough proof for you? If not why?

God loves you, talk to Him.

"How do you know there is no God?"

    How can you disprove God?

    "1. Earth. The perfect size..."

Perfect enough to keep us trapped here. Drop and crush small children. Located next to an unshielded nuclear reactor. In a Universe hurtling towards destruction.

    "2. Water."

Found throughout space too. Even organic molecules found in space.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_interstellar_...

    "3. The human brain."

Dolphins and whales. The entire ape family. And they do not rape and pollute the planet. And evolution makes the development of a brain necessary and likely.

"4. A universe like ours does not come from nothing."

But your bible said it did. A Word is not a thing.

    "5. The eye. No evolution..."

    Yes, actually it does.

    "6. The Bible."

Which bible? I have a Shooter's Bible. We have tablets with historical writings from before the Bible, that the Bible contains passages from. Especially the creation myth. So even the Bible evolved.

"7. The eyewitness accounts of the apostles"

You referred to the Bible already. So you don't get another response here.

"8. The operation of the universe by a uniform set of laws."

If there were no such laws, could we still exist?

    "9. The DNA code."

There is not that much code there, most of it is "dead code", and the root cause for cancer and other issues. Some simple organisms exist without DNA.

    "10. You."

I Am God. Thank you. So are you. Isn't proof, but Faith.

"Is this good enough proof for you? If not why?"

You are commanded to worship in your closet. Yet you are here not asking a question, again.

I feel sorry for you if you aren't trolling. This is just sad.

    1. This argument is overused, and plain wrong. The earth does not revolve around the sun in a perfect orbit. The closest it gets to the sun is 91,402,640 miles. The farthest is 94,509,460 miles. So obviously we can get millions of miles closer and still be fine. The same with the moon (although the numbers are different, obviously).

    2. Water is NOT tasteless. Try google.

    3. That has nothing to do with the existence of god.

    4. No one claimed that besides theists. If they spent 10 minutes actually learning about what the Big Bang states (if that is what you are alluding to), you'd realize how ignorant this statement is.

    5. Evolution can and has. Again, ignorant argument.

    6. This is where I'm going to stop, because it is obvious at this point you are just trolling. And if you're not, please walk to the tallest building you can find, and jump off the top.

    1. Lack of an explanation is not evidence that "God did it". I could say "Thor did it", and you couldn't disprove that.

    2. See #1

    3. See #1

    4. See #1

    5. See #1

    6. A popular book is not evidence of God.

    7. Willingness to be tortured in someone's name is not evidence of God.

    8. See #1

    9. See #1

    10. See #1

None of this is good enough, because all your points are circumstantial. Overwhelming physical proof is what people need.

I find the Bible extremely immoral, and reprehensible. God is not benevolent. He is as bad as Satan.

I know that God exist through his promise Here is a promise made to Abraham that still exists today

Well I can prove God exist by his promises like this one

here is a list of enemies of Israel which one would you want to live in

    Member states of the UN[edit]

At present, a total of 32 United Nations member states don't recognize or generally / partially don't maintain diplomatic relations with the State of Israel: 18 of the 22 members of the Arab League: Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen; a further 11 members of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Brunei, Chad, Guinea, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Mali, Niger, and Pakistan; and Bhutan, Cuba, and North Korea.[19] Some of these countries accept Israeli passports and acknowledge other indications of Israeli sovereignty. The following are the UN member states with which Israel does not have diplomatic relations (period of former relations marked in parenthesis):

    Africa:

    Algeria; Chad (1960–1972); Comoros; Djibouti; Guinea (1959–1967); Libya; Mali (1960–1973); Morocco (1994–2000); Mauritania[20] (2000–2009); Niger (1960–1973, 1996–2002); Somalia; Sudan; and Tunisia[1] (1996–2000), all of which have a Muslim majority.(Algeria,[21] Libya,[22] Somalia[23][24][25] and Sudan[26] do not recognise Israel.)Americas:

    Bolivia[27] (1950–2009); Cuba,[26][28] (1950–1973); Nicaragua[29] (1948–1982, 1992–2010) (relations currently suspended, not severed[30]); and Venezuela[31] (1950–2009).East Asia:

North Korea.[32] (Does not recognise Israel as a state.)[33]Middle East:

Bahrain (1996–2000); Iran (1948–1951, 1953–1979); Iraq; Kuwait; Lebanon; Oman (1996–2000); Qatar[20] (1996–2009); Saudi Arabia; Syria; United Arab Emirates; and Yemen.(Iran,[34] Iraq,[35] Kuwait,[26] Lebanon,[26] Saudi Arabia,[26] Syria,[26][36] United Arab Emirates,[37] and Yemen[26] do not recognise Israel.)South and Central Asia:

Afghanistan; Bangladesh; Bhutan (which has diplomatic relations with only 25 countries[38]); and Pakistan.(Afghanistan,[39] Bangladesh,[40] and Pakistan[26] do not recognise Israel as a state.)Southeast Asia:

Brunei; Malaysia;[26] and Indonesia,[26][40][41](None of these countries recognise Israel.)

God promised to bless Nations that bless you and curse nations that curse you

this ring true today as it did back than

2And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; 3And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed."

Every one of which these arguments even Answers in Genesis will tell you are bad arguments to use.

I suppose you know what science is. Why Venus and Mars are also in the Goldilocks Zone of the Sun yet have no life (now). Why we don't know whether life might exist without water, as we only have one example (Earth).

As for coming here, it is for self-defence, and perhaps education. Note your question is aimed at us. Many questions are aimed at us. We have an interest in religion (especially in the USA), as it seeks to subvert science (cf your questions), attempts to strip us of our rights, calls us evil in the streets, says we should not be citizens, are amoral, and will not allow our children to play with others.

It subverts our money (Look at a pre-1955 bill to see what was written where In God We Trust is now). It subverts the Pledge of Allegiance (written by a Baptist minister without "under God") in an anticommunist stunt. It is pernicious, divisive even amongst its own adherents, subverts government policy, and seeks to tear down the separation of church and state at its own peril.

(You want the majority Christian sect telling you what your kids must pray at school football games? That is why Baptists argued for separation of church and state on the writing of the Bill of Rights.)

Christians in the USA forget their history here at their peril.

How do YOU know there IS?

All of those "proofs" you present can be easily refuted by anyone with a reasoning brain and a basic knowledge of science.

And the Buy - Bull is NOT "irrefutable" - it is full of falsehoods, contradictions, and made - up events and people.

I simply choose not to waste my irreplaceable time answering all of your points!

  • What kind of design is that? This vast universe with only one measly planet that supports life? If there's life in another galaxy, is this god responsible for that too?

I don't think you're being serious; most of these arguments are terrible.

You say there is a God yet you provide no proof.

I say there is no God based on a lack of proof you provide, and suddenly it's up to me to provide proof of your lack of proof?

    Do you even logic?

    I kid you not.

Every single one of those except number 4 and number 7 were arguments from ignorance, and arguments from incredulity...my god...how insufferably stupid you must be...
