Why do atheists quote or agree with this?
“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?”
Epicurus – Greek philosopher, BC 341-270
How can one's mind only go that far? Why does he try to limit God's intelligence to the size of man's? Could he not imagine a purpose for the experience of going through this life?
If everything was perfect and easy, what would you be like?
No challenges to learn from, so you could remain in the same level of ignorance forever. Is that what you want? To continue with this lack of understanding?
Now that theory of what a god would do for us is small minded and is without merit.

I think you have a valid point to a certain extent, but life seems so unfair on some people. What about a child who only lives for one year? What valuable life experience could he or she gain in that time?
There does seem to be some validity to Epicurus' argument, in that everybody should have a reasonable chance at life, if there is a benevolent god.

Because it is an eloquent breakdown of the argument against his existence and abilities.
One could simply turn this around and say why do you think God has these limitless abilities when simple exercises prove they are not so?
Consider this. Get friends to help. Remember ALL this is verifiable as the Word of God and Jesus.
What would happen if we get down on our knees and pray to God in this way:
Dear God, almighty, all-powerful, all-loving creator of the universe, we pray to you to cure every case of cancer on this planet tonight. We pray in faith, knowing you will bless us as you describe in Matthew 7:7, Matthew 17:20, Matthew 21:21, Mark 11:24, John 14:12-14, Matthew 18:19 and James 5:15-16. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
Nothing happens. It will not now, or ever happen.
so... is God lying or imperfect? He clearly stated all this is possible. He even encourages us to try it out.
If he is lying, who is to say the rest of the teachings of the bible are worthy or useful?
If he is imperfect, then he isn't really a god who I would trust with judgements.
This is all assuming he was real at all. I provided some educational links with things for you to understand about the bible, in the hope it will encourage you to develop better ways of asking your questions.

All it does is point out that the god that people believe in and how they describe god is a contradiction and therefore illogical. But now that's been pointed out you are doing what most believers do, after defining him and being shown those contradictions you then move on to say that god is mysterious and humans can't possibly know the mind of god. So which is it? Is he mysterious or is he definable? I would suggest religious folks try some consistency.

They found out that old argument is suitable for weakened people who lives in somewhat misery and pray to God but not (yet) being answered. To get more followers for their devil-ism. It looks to me like 'on purpose'.
Those phrase is quite poetic after all isn't it ?
A bit more, they're also fame when it "sounds cool" such as:
"... Some of us just go one God further.."
"... I reckoned that you and i are atheist. If you can understand why you don't believe in those other gods....<i forget the crap>"
" ... I just believe in one less God than you..."

I agree that an a god cannot be both omnipotent and good. It is impossible.
If nothing else...God established the physical laws of the universe. Therefore, physical laws are just as divine and Biblical commandments.
Therefore, God violates divine law when He performs miracles....which makes God a sinner. Which makes Him both imperfect, and not good.

This is just a variation on one of the standard stock lines against any and all arguments that are not in favor of belief in god (whichever one is being discussed). The old "you tiny little human you cant possibly understand god because he/she/it is so friggin' huge!" It isnt so much an argument in favor of belief as it is an argument against anything but blind credulity and belief.
edit- Oh, and I still agree with and will likely use the quote in the future.

Now that theory of what a god would do for us is small minded and is without merit. The concept of any god or gods is small minded and with out merit. We just reject one more then you do is all.

many people believe god or no god reason is reason and logic is logic any conscious being that can prevent the suffering of another and of no consequence to themselves (which would be the case of the omnipotent) is in fact kind of a d*ck or evil as it's put.

Your god is advertised as all loving, all knowing, and omni potent. Which he clearly is not.
This is not my mind only going that far, that is your religious marketing department lying or your god not existing at all.
Your god made humans knowing that they would fail and being able to make them so that they would not. Your god made hell to torture for eternity those who fail. Your god is evil.
(Or the whole story about him is a lie.)

Because it's impossible for an omnipotent being to fail to achieve outcomes that he prefers. Which is why either what we see around us is what god wants or he does not exist.
