i just bought an iphone 5 and the sim card wont work, but on a different iphone 5 it works?

I originally have the 4 and I bought the 5 from my cousin and I went to Verizon to transfer everything and it almost worked up until he said the sim card is saying the iPhone 5 isn't Verizon and then there manager checked it out and said it is Verizon! what's happening? he told me to leave the phone with him and he will give it to his guy to check it out? What could it be?

I hope you didn't leave it with him. Or if you did, you got some sort of documentation (receipt, etc). I'm fairly certain the store you went to was an 'Authorized Retailer' (check the sign), and not an actual corporate-owned Verizon Wireless store. It would be completely against VZW policy for a (corporate) store rep to keep your phone.

If you get the phone back, either call Customer Service (800-922-0204) or go to a corporate store for assistance. Either option should be able to give you answers (without keeping your phone).
