Poll: Have people ever laughed at you for wearing you'r work gear in a public place?

Have you ever been judged for wearing something diffrent?

When I say diffrent I mean something practical NOT something that is a fashion statment.

For example

Today I had to meet some people at some stables and ask them about some work that I could do over the winter. Rather then going barefoot (I am a barefoot walker) and rather then going wearing boots and normal stuff I choose to put my old horse gear on. Jodpurs boots, chaps and recreation ww2 jodpurs (they are cheaper, easier to wear and look smarter then modern day jodpurs) I combed my hair back to look a little smarter. When I had finished that I went to town to get my knife sharpended. When I was waiting for it to be done a load of kids started to laugh at what I was wearing. (I almost called them a buntch of dummy nig*ers)

So have you ever had people laugh at you for wearing horse stuff or your work gear in a public place?

+

I never got the job but they are passing my details on to other people.

Update:

In all honesty they didn't bother me. They looked like angry kids who could not get into a fast food store. in all honesty I felt like the great gatsbys son. I looked like a posh kid lol but thank you.

No, but just ignore people like that. People have laughed at my hair though. It gets curly when long.
