Christians, which concerns you more?
This is a follow-up on a question I asked yesterday:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201311...
Would it concern you more if the phrase "Merry Christmas" was being phased out with "Happy Holidays", making Christmas less politically correct, or if "Merry Christmas" was being used more generically for people of many different faiths, thus diluting the meaning of Christmas to having a more secular meaning?
I ask because Christians here seem more concerned with the former, meanwhile the latter has long since happened here in my country of Australia.

I really do not care. People should concern themselves with such trivial things. There is so much going on in the world, who cares if someone says Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays? Anyone who is very concerned with this is stupid and needs to get a life.

Since Christmas or the associated customs having nothing to do with the birth of Christ, it doesn't really matter. Jesus is not a baby in a manger. He is the King of Gods kingdom. He will soon destroy the wicked on this earth , so peace n righteousness will prevail.

The phrase "Merry Christmas" has very little effect on my faith in God. My faith in God is based on His infinitely wonderful and inerrant and all sufficient word of the Bible, not whether people say "Merry Christmas" to me or not.

Merry Christmas has been used generically by people for many generations. Why change now? Is it the word "Christ" you godless dislike?

It really doesn't matter what terminology people choose . What matters is that once a year people regardless of beliefs find it in themselves to act half decent to each other and sort of live up to our potential . Gives us a glimpse at how humanity should be.
