Absolutely. Jesus did not want his followers to be part of the world. John 15:18,19
That includes politics and the military. Why? Because this system of things belongs to Satan the devil. 2 corinthians 4:4, 1 john 5:19, Matthew 4:8,9

No, they should not. The well meaning politicians live with the belief that they could bring about some change that will improve Earth's conditions, or, society's conditions. The politicians who are not so well meaning are interested in money and power. No matter what kind of politician though, they are all against God's government because they believe in human changes which cannot bring about the kind of future that God has promised.

Not if they are footstep followers of Christ. Jesus set the example for Christians to follow. 1Peter 2:21 says: Christ suffered for you leaving you a model for you to follow his steps closely. No where in the Bible will we find he was ever involved politics. It would stand to reason Christians should remain neutral when it comes to politics.

What do you mean? If you mean get involved and run for office when they think they can do a good job or promote candidates they like or even just get out and vote then yes. If you mean, try to use politics to promote religion then no.

A Christian is a follwer of Jesus, therefore you would follow his example. The scripture you have in your question John6:15" Then Jesus, know that they were about to come and seize himto make him king, withdrew again to the mountain all alone." Showed that he want nothing with the political system of his time and as a Christian, we should have the same attitude. Jesus also made this statement about those who are truly following him and his example at John6:16" They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world."

No, just freaking no. That's why in my country's Constitution, the State and the Church are separated because my countrymen learned well that Religion's being used to put fear on the people's mind when we were still under the Spanish Rule.

If it helps change for a better way, and does not interfere with our walk with Christ, why not. Although this is like walking a 'tight rope' in order for a Christian not to be tainted by the corruption, that comes with the territory of politics.

No. Jesus and the first century Christians were politically neutral, as are true Christians today. Secular history also confirms this.
