At a recent smear test I was told that they couldn't see the threads to my coil - what happens now??
My mind is working over time. I have a horrendous fear of hospitals and I have been told that I may have to go for a scan. I am going to a specialised Gynae clinic tomorrow, but if this has happened to anyone else, I would be grateful for words of reassurance NOT horror stories!
If it's relevant, I have two children who were both delivered by C section but have been told that I have a very small cervix. I had the coil fitted under a spinal block at the same time that I had a biopsy done following an abnormal smear test about 4 1/2 years ago.
Any words of advice/comfort would be great right now.

Something similar happened to my niece. She had expelled the IUD and didn't realize it had happened. But there are other possibilities so if you want to know them, go here.
