Should I buy a PS4 or an Xbox One?

In my life I have owned a PS2, PS3 and an Xbox 360. I loved my PS2, got the Playstation 3, and decided I liked the 360 better. From what I've seen online and on youtube, people are full of bias and are usually fanboys/girls of a certain company or system line. I think both next gen systems look great, but can't decide which one to get. Suggestions? Please, no fanboy answers, and no PC elitists. I DID consider getting a computer for gaming, but I don't think I would enjoy myself, as all I've known is console besides some simple computer games when I was younger. Plus, a good gaming computer is far out of my price range.

It really depends on what you want it for.. if you want to be able to Skype someone while playing a game, and switch over to TV while a game is loading, then go to the Xbox one. If you want something strictly for gaming, and that will give you an edge on graphics and processing speeds, go with the PlayStation. If I were you I would go with the ps4. I say this because I do not care about if I can talk to my tv to change the channel for me, that's why there is a remote. I don't care about skyping while playing a game, because that's why I have a computer and phone that can do all of that. Its supposed to be a gaming console, not an all in one computer entertainment box. As far as graphics, the ps4 will be slightly better, but as far as games and playability, that's up to personal preference. Also Sony added party chat to the ps4 so now you can play with more than just one person and talk to them.

Hope you're happy with whichever you decide!

I'll list the good and bad things of the two.

    PS4-

1: Good - It is one hundred dollars less than the Xbox One.

2: Good - You can play online for free, unlike the Xbox One.

3: Good - I heard that there are less hackers in the Playstation community than the Xbox community.

4: Good - If you have a PS3, you can transfer your PS3 games to the PS4 for free. I do not think the Xbox has this feauture.

5: Bad - In some cases the Xbox has great games that are not available on the PS4. Such as: Halo, Ryse: Son of Rome, ect.

    Xbox One-

1: Good - It has more updates than the PS4.

2: Good - Some say the controls are better on the Xbox One than the PS4.

3: Good - The Xbox One has better games than the PS4.

4: Bad - The Xbox One is one hundred dollars more than the PS4.

5: Bad - The Xbox community has more hackers than the Playstation community.

Verdict: If you can, I'd get both, because they are both very good. But if you had to really chose one, I would have to say the PS4.

For me it wasn't the specs of the systems. It was system exclusive games that sold me. Take a look at games that are (For Xbox Halo,Titanfall, etc)(For PS4 God of War, KillZone, etc) system exclusive and go from there.
