What bacteria produces green tint on nutrient agar plate?

We're doing an experiment in lab to differentiate bacteria in Microbiology and my professor saw my neutral nutrient agar plate that gave a sort of green color to the agar. He told me this indicated something..what could it be? He said that helps you know what bacteria it is.

    Probably contamination.

You could be growing cyanobacteria on there, or any of several different algaes, or even moss.

    Get thee to a microscope.

Psuedomonas can also appear with a green sheen on agar.
