Gas heater and no central heating?
I dont have central heating and I only have one gas heater in my living room and none in the bedroom. I live in a low income apartment with high ceilings and my heater sucks. My apartment is so cold in the winter and so hot in the summer.I cannot sit in front of the tv for a long period of time because the heater gets so hot mostly just in that area and when you turn it off or turn it down it blows out cold air Whats the point? If I dont have many blankets when I'm sleeping Hell I would freeze to death Please help Is there any type electric heaters that use less energy that actually works Please help before I freeze to death or become broke because of high electric bill. Please any help you can give would be very appreciated Thank You

Moving that hot air out of that room would be your cheapest option. Apparently that one furnace is big enough for the whole house you just need to get some of that heat to other rooms which would help lower the temp where the furnace is at. Get some fans and try that. The object is to circulate. I dont know how the home is layed out to help on the locations of the fans.

You might consider an electric blanket. They use very little electricity and will keep you quire warm even when your room is cold. Any electric heater you buy will use a lot of electricity and cost a lot to operated but an electric blanket uses less than 100 watts.

There are a lot of very good electric heater on the market I use one in my house made by Honeywell for a cold room. They have thermostats to cycle them on and off. They are better then freezing to death, they will run up the electric a little. Try and budget your money may God bless you and keep you warm.

Have you considered moving your bed into the living room just for the winter time? I know thats a little crazy but it will keep you so much more comfortable and perhaps an electric blanket will help too.

Try wearing layered clothing , even to bed.
That will trap the air and act like some insulation.
