Ummm - no one gets up on Sunday morning, put son a clean shirt and says to himself "I'm going to go to a bad church because

    a. It is closer to my house than the best one

    b. It has free parking, and the best one doesn't.

    c. The women there are hotter than fire crackers, and the ones in the best one are drab.

People go to the church they like. Different churches are better for different people. A Baptist will tell you his is the best; so will a Catholic, Mormon, Lutheran . . .

You can cross one off your list, though. In the USA and Canada, roughly 10% of Unitarian Universalists consider themselves Christian. The other 90% are not.

You listed about five denominations which are not Christian---not at all but society does treat as Christian. To answer your question---first the denomination does not matter in terms of title, second to be a Christian denomination it must teach what the Bible says--Jesus is the Christ, Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, and Jesus is the only path to God. If they teach anything less--they are not Christian. Which is the best--the one that teaches the above three doctrines and lives by the other teachings of Jesus and his apostles. The church will not save you, baptism will not save you, the Lord's Supper will not save you but Jesus, the perfect sacrifice who paid for your sins, who came with the purpose to die so you might live, the Christ can and will save you and lead you to the Father God. That is the only path. So find a Church close to you that teaches the things I suggested----follow the teachings and Jesus will give you everlasting life.

Neither is greater than the next. I have my beliefs and so do others. It's what you feel comfortable with.

Personally I don't like the Catholic doctrines, I go to a Methodist church (united Methodist church of southern Africa) which seems more like the UK church than the US. My cousin doesn't particularly the protestant theology compared to catholic.

It all comes down to what you feel comfortable with. There are some churches that are very un Christ like ... rule of thumb for being a good Christian is love thy neighbour and have faith in Jesus and God

There is no such thing as a "better" denomination.

Jesus Christ wanted there to be one church. Historically, there was only one united Christian movement until the great schism in the 11th century.

Therefore, the requirement for salvation is believing in Jesus Christ, and accepting God's grace which includes works.

"27 Go near and listen to all that the Lord our God says. Then tell us whatever the Lord our God tells you. We will listen and OBEY.”-Deuteronomy 5:27

"LORD, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? 2 He who walks uprightly, And WORKS righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart"-Psalm 15:2

    "15 “If you love Me, keep[a] My commandments."-John 14:15

"10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."-Ephesians 2:10

"17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead."-James 2:17

"12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God,[c] and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books."-Revelation 20:12

Does this mean it is bad to go to church? Of course not. However, we should keep in mind that God is looking more at whether or not we have faith in Christ than whether or not we go to a Catholic Church or a Protestant Church.

I suppose it depends on where you feel most comfortable - God's house has many rooms; it's all the same big house though.

Maybe what you really want to know is which one is RIGHT?

I don't think any of those in the list are; except perhaps the Quakers being the closest to what Christ actual said in how we should develop a closeness to God. None of them are actually necessary according to what Christ said.

My choice is Roman Catholc; I switched from Anglican.

It's the oldest continuous & largest church.

It's doctrine, teaching, & discipline have been kept.

It has the best organization for self correction.

That's even with the scandals that have occurred.

Catholic means universal, it's the same everywhere.

The main division you should be considering is either Catholic or Protestant. What the Catholic Church has going for it is a continuous succession of authorized bishops from the Apostles, valid Sacraments, and the deposit of faith handed down to us.

7 Reasons why everyone should be Catholic

You left out the most important one, which is Protestant or Church of England. The born again churches that preach hate for everyone else are scary and do not follow the teachings, so the older gentler forms of Christianity are closer to the way it is supposed to be.

It would have to be the organization that is following the teachings of Jesus. They can be identifed by:

Respect for the Bible and base their beliefs on it and not "traditions of men"

Preaching the "Good news of the Kingdom in all the earth" as Jesus and his disciples did

being no part of the world

Making God's name Jehovah known to others as Jesus did (John 17:6)

Showing Christlike love for your christian brother and sisters worldwide

admittedly they all have good qualities and if truth did not exist, there wouldn't be any membership in the various false denominations.

however, since mankind are brain washed both on the left and on the right, indoctrinations is what people believe. i would think that though there are baptists who would die for their faith, if satan taught them doctrine himself they would follow it even until death also.

mormons have the true "restored" church, but many have fallen short of even a terrestrial glory.

when i see a church or a temple with Angels shouting glory unto christ, then i will know that shekinah glory will begin at that church. however, to admit LDS history, this is already a testimonial of the first temple. .gofigure.
